Clay + Garden | 2 Day Plant Imprint Class
It’s time to get your hands on some clay! This is a two part class (note the two dates).
This class is open to adults and kids 10+. Only 12 spaces available.
Includes all materials, 2 kiln firings, light snacks and beverages.
DAY 1 - Saturday, May 24th | 11am-1pm
In day 1 of class we will be going into the garden to forage plants that we will then imprint into clay slabs. We will shape the slabs using a press-mold technique with several sizes and shapes to choose from, or using foam formers. You can expect to make 1 large piece or 2-3 small pieces.
DAY 2 - Saturday, May 31st | 11am-1pm
We will use glazes and underglazes to decorate your pieces before they undergo their final kiln firing. We will review different techniques including wax relief, layering, taping and sponging.
You will be notified when your pieces are ready for pick up.
**If you cannot attend DAY 2 but would still like to attend DAY 1 please reach out to danielle@covetnv.com. We may be able to reschedule your glazing session or I can glaze the piece for you with a glaze color of your choice.
Tickets are refundable up to 5 days before the first class. Otherwise your ticket price can be used towards a future class pending availability.
